CO2CRC Partners: Rio Tinto
As a significant participant in the coal chain, Rio Tinto Coal Australia (RTCA) is committed to contributing to research and promotion of clean coal technologies to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from their product.
They continued to contribute to a range of projects that support the research, development, and deployment of clean coal technologies, including:
- Australian Coal Association’s COAL21 programme;
- Australian Coal Association’s Research Programme (ACARP);
- funding for the CO2RC;
- funding for the Otway Project; and
- funding for FutureGen, the billion dollar zero emission technology project in the United States.
