Schlumberger Carbon Services

Since the mid 1990s, Schlumberger has been involved in CO2 geological storage projects, providing services for subsurface characterisation and monitoring while also dedicating specific research and development efforts toward technology. We remain at the industry forefront, in part from our current and active involvement in numerous international forums and organizations dedicated to reducing atmospheric CO2.

Schlumberger Carbon Services representatives are involved in the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) and are active members of the International Energy Agency Greenhouse Gas R&D Program (IEA-GHG) and the European Technology Platform on Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plants (ZEP) European working groups.

In addition to being part of numerous collaborative research projects, we are strongly involved in major national and international programs such as the Regional Partnerships in the United States, the Otway Project led by the CO2CRC in Australia, and the majority of European storage projects. The experience gained through early participation in these projects, combined with our experience in subsurface environments, provides us with the ability to offer the industry and project partners a complete set of services and solutions based on a well-defined methodology.
