CCS world projects: Jaenschwalde

Vattenfall plans to demonstrate oxyfuel and post-combustion capture technologies at a new project set to be operational by 2015. The oxyfuel unit will capture and store 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 per year and the post-combustion unit will capture and store 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 per year. The EC announced in 12/09 that it will contribute a maximum of 180M EUR for this project.
