CCS world projects: RCI

The existing capture and use of CO2 in greenhouses will be expanded to 1.5 Mt per year. Also, about 1Mt CO2 will be stored in depleted gas fields (one onshore, and one onshore) beginning in 2010. Following these pilot, large scale pilots will aim for CCS at a rate of 3.5Mt per year. By 2025 the CO2 capture from the Rotterdam harbour will amount to some 20 Mt per year.
