CCS world projects: Worsham

Falcon Gas Storage Company and CO2-Global have entered into a letter of intent (LOI) for Falcon to support CO2-Global’s development of a 70-140MW Zero Emission Natural Gas (ZENG) fired power plant in north central Texas adjacent to Falcon’s Worsham-Steed Gas Storage Facility. It is currently envisioned that Falcon will supply natural gas from Worsham-Steed for the ZENG power plant, which will be designed for zero emissions after CO2 capture. Falcon may also use the captured CO2 for its enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations at Worsham-Steed, which in addition to being used as a gas storage facility, is estimated to contain approximately 50,000,000 barrels of crude oil, a significant percentage of which could be extracted through injection of CO2.
