Australian Institute of Energy Melbourne Postgraduate Student Energy Awards for 2008
At the Australian Institute of Energy Melbourne Postgraduate Student Energy Awards for 2008 held on the 4th September, three CO2CRC graduate students received awards:
Michael Simioni of the University of Melbourne was awarded the prize for Best Overall Project titled Membrane Stripping: Recovery of Carbon Dioxide from Alkali Solvent Systems. Michael will travel to Sydney for the National Awards.
Trent Harkin from Monash University received a prize for Best Carbon Capture & Storage Project on Integration of Carbon Capture and Storage into a Brown Coal Power Station.
Kohei Endo, also from University of Melbourne, was given the Encouragement Award for his work on The Fate of SOx and NOx in Post-combustion Carbon Dioxide Capture.
The students received their awards from the Minister for Energy and Resources, Victoria, The Hon Peter Batchelor, MP.
