Characterising Australian emissions

Purpose

To provide data on Australia’s major CO2 emission sources and potential sinks to allow the development of future capture and storage hubs.

Activity summary

This work aims to document the composition, magnitude and location of Australia’s major stationary CO2-bearing emissions. These data could be used in subsequent capture modelling and testing. The deliverables from the project are a database of Australian major stationary sources of emissions and corresponding maps generated using a comprehensive GIS.
