New polymer membranes for CO2 removal

Purpose

To develop and test novel materials for gas separation membranes.

Summary

This work aims to develop economical viable polymeric membranes for CO2 removal and establish methods for the characterisation of the various polymeric membrane’s chemical structure and separation capability. A method for the synthesis of membrane and membrane composite materials will be developed and a number of membrane types will be produced for use in membrane performance tests in adsorption process development for CO2 capture.
