AFL great Wayne Schwass will visit Nirranda in south-west Victoria on Thursday 22 June to speak about his mental health challenges.
Schwass, who was recruited from South Warrnambool, battled depression during his 15-year, 282-game league career with North Melbourne and Sydney.
Schwass will speak at the Nirranda Football Netball Club event to be held at the Nirranda Community Centre. The evening is booked out with 200 people attending.
CO2CRC has partly funded the free event and is pleased to raise awareness about mental health in a region hit hard by this issue.
